The much-anticipated Chelmsford Monday Football League kicked off with fireworks last night, marking the beginning of a new season with thrilling games from both Premier League and Division 1 teams.
Commencing with the Premier League Division, Unathletico Madrid started their campaign on a high note with a convincing victory against Beffs Boys, ending in a 3-1 scoreline. The Dockers and Delph And Safety provided a thrilling game, with the latter clinching the victory at 4-3. Meanwhile, Gangsters Allardyce edged out Ivory Toast 2-1 in a closely contested match, while Fatzio scraped past Ipswich Ultras in a game that ended 3-2 in favour of Fatzio.
In the Division 1 games, Sigurdssons Under 6s defeated Gbg Generals 2-1 in an intense match. Rileys Fatties fell 1-3 to Copperfield FC, while Olive Tree FC managed to keep a clean sheet against DCP Slices, ending the game 1-0. The most thrilling game of the evening was perhaps the clash between MPB FC and Elfbar FC. MPB FC emerged victorious with a narrow 5-4 victory.
As the season is just getting started, the competition is already heating up, with players and teams showcasing impressive capabilities on the field. Notably, the top scorers for this week were from Unathletico Madrid in the Premier League Division and MPB FC in Division 1. Their performance was remarkable and certainly set the bar for the rest of the season.
