In an edge-of-the-seat night of football, week 8 of the Birmingham Friday League brought some thrilling results in both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions. With only two weeks left in the season, every goal is crucial and the competition is fierce.
The Premier League saw Soccer PM narrowly edge out Boca Seniors in a titanic struggle that ended 3-2.
Most Valuable Player- Jake (Soccer Pm)
In another closely fought contest, Kennys Clowns 1997 managed to secure a 2-1 victory over Total Football,in a game Total will feel unluckily having hit the post twice in the second half
Most Valuable Player- Gaz (Kennys Clowns 1997)
Meanwhile, Borussia Teeth and West Heath United served up a thriller, with Borussia clinching the game with a 3-2 win. The star of the night was Lewis of Borussia Teeth, who netted two goals, taking his place as the top scorer in the Premier League division.
A win next week will secure the title for Teeth and top off a brilliant season

In Division 1, the stage was set for a high-scoring match as Last Legs FC took on Brasilia Vets. The Vets showed their experience, securing a decisive 6-1 victory.
Most Valuable Player- Jimmy (Brasilia Vets)
In a balanced contest, Fake Madrid and Braz Boys FC could not be separated, ending their match with a 1-1 draw. Braz Boys have confirmed promotion now looking to seal the title, whilst second place is in Madrid’s hands
Most Valuable Player- Phil (Fake Madrid)
Meanwhile, Tired Tigers overcame Could Get Messi with a 3-2 win to keep the pressure on Madrid
Most Valuable Player- Ali (Tired Tigers)
The spotlight in Division 1 was on James Harley of Brasilia Vets, who had an outstanding performance, scoring 3 goals to become the top scorer of the division.
The excitement is building as we head into the final two weeks of the season. Each team is looking to finish strong, not only to secure their place in the current league standings, but also to ensure their spot for the next season. With the top scorers in both divisions showcasing impressive performances, the anticipation for the remaining matches is at an all-time high.
