Rubery Thursday's thrilling 6-a-side premier football league has just completed its seventh week and the action couldn't have been more intense. The spectators were treated to a remarkable display of skills, teamwork, and competitive atmosphere that left them on the edge of their seats.
In the Premier League division, Beautiful Men put on a dazzling performance, demolishing Pathetic Athletic with a commanding 5-1 victory. The star of the match was undoubtedly Zane who netted an impressive three goals for Beautiful Men, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division for this week and also the game’s MVP.
Meanwhile, there was a neck-to-neck matchup between Munter Hunters and Last Legs FC that ended in a 1-1 stalemate. A solid start for our newest team Munters against an experienced Legs team. Michael Teji was the Most Valuable Player for Last Legs.
SakaPotatoes and Chasers81120 FC also provided an exhilarating game that kept the audience hooked, with the match ending in a 4-4 draw in a Thursday night classic. N Gordon was the MVP for Chasers, with an inspirational performance.
Over in Division 1, Is Your Motherwell and Maradona Kebabs fought to a 2-2 draw in a closely contested battle. Pipers FC and Field FC also concluded their face-off in a 1-1 draw, proving the stiff competition in this division.
Jake was MVP for Motherwell, a consistent goal scorer in the Hayes 6-a-side Sunday league brings his goals to Rubery, with Kai Ruscoe again showing his class as MVP for Field.
However, the highlight of the matches within Division 1 was the clash between Unathletico Madrid and FC BomersField, where the latter team emerged victorious with a smashing 6-2 win. The standout player was Danny who single-handedly scored three goals for FC BomersField, earning him the accolade of top scorer in Division 1 for this week and the match night MVP.
This week's matches were a testament to the intensity of the competition and the high level of talent on display.
