It was a great evening of 6-a-side football at the Colmers Farm 3G in the Rubery Tuesday league, as we saw all teams in attendance as scheduled, including new side Lovelle FC who played their first game in the league.
Match Report
First game of the evening saw new boys Lovelle FC come up against Pathetico Madrid in their first outing in the Rubery Tuesday league. A very close game eventually went the way of the newcomers, with Williams bagging the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 debut win against Chan Mac's Pathetico Madrid.
Next up saw Swole Patrol Utd face off against the returning Double Pogba and Koke. Without doubt this fierce rival produced the game of the evening as Swole Patrol edged out their competition with a 4-2 victory. Goals from Field, Billington and a brace from Liam Davis secured the victory, as James and two from Rowbotham came in reply for Double Pogba.
Cig Bocks kept up their 100% record in the league so far this season with a good run out against Double Pogba & Koke in the evenings only points match. Next week will see our reigning champions face off against Lovelle FC.
Last up on the night was Bugle Villa, hot on the heels of Swole Patrol in 3rd place at the start of the evening, coming up against the young and spritly Cofton Ultras. Although the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate, it was far more entertaining than the scoreline suggested. Both sides created numerous chances in an end to end encounter, with Bugle Villa's midfield engine Eddy Godfrey receiving Man of the Match for an outstanding performance in the centre of the park.
