Weekly updates from Spalding 6 a side

We had a fantastic night of 6 a side football at Glen Park in Spalding on Monday, as we saw all teams in attendance for their games as expected. The only exception to this was Posh Old Boys, and we were grateful to them for contacting Head Office to let us know they were unable to attend, and look forward to seeing them back for their game next week.

Premier Division

In the Premier Division, Young Guns maintained their 100% record for the season, as they overcame a resilient Crouch Is Solanke 3-1. Meanwhile, Boston overtook PSV Hangover on goal difference, as they had their shooting boots on with a 6-1 win against Harriers FC.

There are worrying times for Warriors, as they slipped into the bottom two after a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Old Guard.

Division One

With it becoming ever more difficult to predict, it was another highly entertaining night in Division One. The game of the night saw a top of the table clash between Long Heads and Simply, Simply Lovely, which Long Heads won 3-2 to move themselves top of the league on goal difference.

Loftus Cheeky Nandos edged a tight game with Multiple Scorgasms 1-0, to move above their opponents into third in the league table, but crucially they are now level on points with the top two as well. Meanwhile, Hakuna Juan Mata will remain hopeful of throwing their name into the promotion race as they sit two points off the promotion spaces.

Division Two

With three points now separating the top six teams, Division Two continues to thrill as well. RoastEither FC moved top of the league after beating a well organised Service Men 1-0, and both they and Bobwells Ballers move above Show Me Da Mane, after Bobwells 2-0 victory against the previous league leaders.

After Giving You The Dicko won 2-0 against Bumfica, they move level with their opponents on four points, with both sides two points off the promotion places.

Week 5 Preview

The key games next week see's first versus third in the Premier Division, as Young Guns take on PSV Hangover. In Division One, Mein Bergkampf will be looking to make it two wins out of two and move out of the relegation zone ahead of their four pointer with Posh Old Boys. Meanwhile in Division Two, it's the battle of the top two next week as RoastEither FC take on Bobwells Ballers.
