It was a fantastic evening of football in our Lichfield Monday League which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled. We were delighted to welcome Warriors FC to the league!
In the Premier League, Thursday Club led the way with a commanding 6-0 victory against league debutants Warriors FC. Not far behind, APFC's strong show against Colonel Getafe, winning a decisive 6-1. Equally nail-biting was the 3-3 draw between Out On Bale and Club Tropicana Drinks FC. However, Yes Chef managed to secure a neat 2-0 win against Weegion.
Over in Division 1, SHOW ME THE MANE emerged as the headline act, beating Losing My Reguilon with a whopping 17-0 victory, the highest scoring match of the night. Mere Green F clinched a slim 1-0 win against Special Olympiakos, while MK Dongs also managed to keep a clean sheet with a 2-0 victory over ICE PACK. The match between Unathletico Madrid and Perth Glory Hole ended in a 3-1 victory for the latter side.
Meanwhile, in Division 2, Pique Blinders made their mark with a solid 4-0 win against Bobcats Bombers. BaconMbappe also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Shortbutts FC 4-1. Baloteletubbies managed to edge out Parks Poachers 2-1, while Sutton Sounders secured a 3-1 victory against Inter MaVan.
