Title: Spectacular Kick-off to the Lichfield Monday Football League

The new season kicked off in style in our Lichfield Monday League last night. We were delighted to welcome Shelfield Wednesday who made their debut in Division 2

In the Premier League, Thursday Club kicked off the season with a resounding 5-0 victory over Yes Chef. SHOW ME THE MANE couldn't quite find their footing, falling 0-2 to APFC. Club Tropicana Drinks FC also had a promising start, beating Mere Green F with a 4-0 win. Weegion will return to competitive action next week

In Division 1, the games were tightly contested. BaconMbappe narrowly defeated Baloteletubbies 3-2, in what was arguably the match of the night. Special Olympiakos faced a narrow defeat 0-1 against MK Dongs. Unathletico Madrid showed their prowess, beating Behind Emery Lines 9-1, while Colonel Getafe and Perth Glory Hole settled for a 3-3 draw.

Over in Division 2, Pique Blinders showed they meant business, cruising to a 6-1 victory over league debutants  SHELFIELD WEDNESDAY. ICE PACK clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Bobcats Bombers. Shortbutts FC overpowered Inter MaVan 6-3, while Parks Poachers notched a whopping 10-2 win against Losing My Reguilon.
