Sunday 12th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only disappointment being Goals Aloud who surprisingly failed to attend their game, they will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 19th February.

The Allies dropped to second place in the table as they suffered a surprise 3-2 humbling against Shed FC, allowing third placed Jacks Army right back into the title mix as they were 7-4 winners of a thrilling encounter against Misfits.  Gylfis Young Boys moved up to fourth place as they won a hard fought game against bottom side Dixy Pigeons 2-1.

Egg Fried Reus lead Division One for a third week running but had to work hard for the points tonight as they eventually overcame a dogged Kroos Control by 3 goals to 2, leaving them ahead on goal difference over second placed Wanyamas In Pyjamas who closed the gap with a 5-2 thrashing of an out of form Extra Special Ones who are now four points off the pace after three straight losses.  Hardly Athletic are up to fourth after a comfortable 4-0 victory against Who Ate All Depays, whilst the action was completed by Rainbow Sparkles who were 2-0 winners over bottom side Globo Gym.
