BRIERLEY HILL MONDAY LEAGUE STARTS AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SEASON!

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football to start the season in the Brierley Hill Monday League with all teams in attendance and accounted for. We also welcomed new team 'Notting Yourmumsforest' to the league and although lost on there first night showed great promise for their chances moving forward. The league would like to wish them all the best moving forward as the new season gets underway.

Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between champions 'Puyol Pants Down' and newly promoted 'Lets Get Messi'. This one was a very close and tight affair to start the season and could have gone either way. The champions however were able to score a late goal to take the 2-1 win but with how close the game was 'Puyol Pants Down' will be pushed all the way if they are to defend their title.

The game of the night in Division One was between 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' and 'Exeter Gently'. Again another game that shows that both leagues will be close season and even though 'Exeter Gently' were able to come out with the 2-1 both showed real intent in their ambitions for this season as both will be looking to make a promotion push. As the season goes on it will be interesting to see how both teams shape up in the season to come.

Team of the week for this week is '6 Berks And A Turk'. A very good team that have struggled last season but started the season with the biggest winning margin of any team on the night and therefore sit top of Division One after the first round of games. How will they fair as the season progresses?
