HALFWAY THROUGH THE SEASON IN BRIERLEY HILL!

A brilliant night in the Stourbridge Monday League at Stourbridge Rugby Club as all teams were in attendance as expected.

We also welcomed new team 'BFF United' who even though the lost put in a very good showing for there first. The league wishes a speedy recovery to the player that broke their collarbone at their first game at the league in a freak accident and hope it is not long before they play there second game. We wish the team all the best moving forward in the league.

Game of the night in the Premier Division goes to the game between 'Inter Mi'Bathams' and 'Neville'. A very competitive game that saw chances for both teams throughout but the shares were spoiled in the end with a late goal from an unlikely source by the league veterans ensured both teams got a point with the 1-1 result. As we hit halfway it will be interesting to see how 'Neville' can influence the reminder of the season next up 'That Peter Crouch Team', 'Inter Mi'Bathams' face 'West Midlands United F.C'.

The Division 1 game of the night goes to the game between 'Gary Neville Is A Legend' and 'Crep City FC'. 'Crep City FC's' unbesten record ended in a 3-1 loss to a very good performance from 'Gary Neville Is A Legend'. This result shows the quality of the team and puts them in good stead for the second half of the season. This result also tightens everything up in Division One and sees two out in front at the halfway stage but with still a long way to go it will be interesting to see who will be in the promotion spots when the season comes to an end.

Team of the week are 'We Don't Give A Flying Duck FC' as they are now 3 points clear of third in Division One as we hit halfway. 7-4 they won in the end and will look to keep up this good form as they go into a game against 'Baloteletubbies' next week.
