STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 15TH JUNE 2022
All the latest news from the Stourbridge 6-a-side Monday league is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.
A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Monday League with all teams in attendance and we had an excellent finish to the Monday league season with some extremely close endings.
Congratulations 'Chip Butty FC' as they are crowned champions of the Monday league season in the Premier Divsion with an extremely tense finish only winning the game on a better goal difference of 28 compared to the 25 of runners-up 'Football Club FC'! On the last matchday, they managed to secure a 3-1 victory over 'MC Dons' to take the title. MVP of the Premier Division was Dan Payne of 'Football Club FC' and top goal scorer was yet again Matt Preston of 'Inter Mi'Bathams', so congratulations to these two individuals also.
The congratulations in Division One goes to 'Park Tavern FC' as they clinched the league by one point as they won their final game 5-1 in great fashion to secure the league title and promotion to the Premier League! Congratulations also goes to 'BBF United' who finished the season as runners up, MVP Josh White of 'Call The Cops FC' and top goal scorer Charlie Fellows of 'Oaks Ay We'.
Finally, we would like to congratulate 'PSGeezas' on winning the Division 2 title and also securing the title on goal difference as they won their final game of the season by a score line of 5-1 as well! We look forward to seeing them in Divison 1 along with 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC' as they finished runners up in the Division. MVP and top goal scorer for Division Two was Alex Sharp of 'SteelYES! FC' so well done to him on both of these awards.
The winners of each Division will now have the choice of trophies and medals for their team or a trip into the monthly Leisure Leagues Prize Draw. The MVP's and top goal scorers will now enter there respective monthly prize draw in order to be rewarded for there efforts.
The new season starts next Monday 20th June 2022 and your Area Manager will be in contact in the coming days to confirm your first kick off time. Good luck to all teams for the new season!
