STOURBRIDGE MONDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 17TH JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Monday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football with all teams in attendance and accounted for. 

Some great games in the Premier Division but game of the night this week goes to the game between 'Redz On Stedz' and 'Call The Cops'. In a hotly contested game that saw lots of chances throughout and a game played at a very high tempo it was 'Redz On Stedz' who were able to improve there chances of pulling out of the relegation battle with a 3-2 win. Although the result did not do enough to get them further up the table, there is 2 points separate third down to seventh so with 5 games to go it is anyone's bet for who will be playing Division One football next season.

A few games stand out in Division One as all the top three lost in order to close the league right up but it was the game between 'Schoolboy Error' and 'BBF United' that was the game of the night. The action went back and forth and was a great showing for the the neutral watching however it was 'BBF United' who ran out as 2-1 winners. Five points splits the top six as we go into the the last five games, who will come out on top?

The game of the night in Division Two was the nine goal thriller between 'Waggon Wanderers' and 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC'. Two similarly able teams that served up a cracker but it was 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC' who came out on top 5-4. Although it's a lot to ask to catch the top three now these two teams will battle to the end to finish as high as they can come the end of the season.

Team of the week for this week has to be Division One league leaders conquerors 'Bayern Neverlosen'. Just like last season they are going about there business nicely and with a win over 'Park Tavern FC' they are now in 2nd and chasing the league leaders. Next week they renew there rivalry with 'Oaks Ay We', who will come out on top?
