A great evening of games provided plenty of entertainment for all teams that attended. Unfortunately we did have two teams that were not there for there fixture this week 'Call The Cops FC' and 'Bridgnorth Town FC'. 'Call The Cops FC' have already confirmed there return next week. As this is the second non-attendance in a row for 'Bridgnorth Town FC' they have been removed from the league with immediate effect as per the terms and conditions. Although this does open up a space it is paramount that all teams are present for there game each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible if they are unable able to fulfill there fixture please unsure you contact your Area Manager with plenty of time before the league gets started.
In more positive news, the Premier Division game of the week was the game between 'Crep City FC' and 'Big Stiff Idiots'. An 8-goal thriller that had everything but it was 'Crep City FC' who came out on top 5-3. Two big wins in a row been they are now climbing the table nicely and with how tight the league is they will be looking to finish the season strong with 3 games to go.
The match of the evening in Division One came in the form of a 2-1 victory for bottom of the table ‘Cott Lane Colts’ over ‘Park Tavern FC’ this game was a well fought battle between two teams that know each other will at the opposite ends of the table. It was a potentially season changing performance from the winning side which was spearheaded by MVP Tom Parsons who scored the two goals in the victory. This performance shows what they have going into a season in Division Two next season. It was an unfortunate loss for ‘Park Tavern FC’ however it is important they turn this round if they are to have a shot at promotion.
Division Two game of the night was between league leaders 'Dynamo B.C' and 'SteelYES! FC'. A 2-0 win for the league leaders saw them go even closer to promotion from the division and helped them pull two points clear in the race for the Division Two title. Next up for them is 'Dynamo Greyhound PFC' as they continue there quest to glory.
The team of the evening was ‘Crep City FC’ in a big result in their push for a top of the table finish as they sit just 3 points off top placed ‘Chip Butty FC’. It was a well drilled performance which saw them edge out a 5-3 victory over their competitors 'Big Stiff Idiots'. An impressive hat trick from Aaron Hughes was crucial in their TOTW victory. If ‘Crep City FC’ continue these types of performances, it could be influential in the three remaining games of the season.
