Stourbridge Monday Football League Wraps Up Exciting Season with Week 14 Results

Stourbridge, 11/12/23 - The Stourbridge Monday Football League concluded its thrilling season with an action-packed Week 14. Teams from the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4 battled it out on the pitch, displaying their skills and vying for victory.

In the Premier League, Celta Allstars reigned supreme as they clinched the Premier League title with a 3-2 victory over Stourbridge Olympic in an end-to-end game of football.  Haaland Globetrotters also overcame their opponents AFC Vexham in a scintillating 7-0 victory as they finished their campaign in second place. De Jong Boys and VI Inches Combined shared the spoils in a thrilling 3-3 draw between the two sides. 

Moving on to Division 1 Wheres Your Man FC secured promotion in pole position as they ended their campaign with a 5-4 defeat to Baz Ball FC after already securing their promotion in the previous week. Growler Out FC also secured promotion into the Premier League as they beat The Unbelievable Lads in a 8-2 victory. Other results in the Division included a 1-0 victory for Bayern Neverlosen and a sensational 7-1 win for West Midlands United FC over Cott Lane Colts. 

In Division 2, Slumdog Mignolet were crowned champions finishing the season on 24 points as they beat 2nd placed LABLE FC 5-4 with both teams being promoted. In other news throughout the division, we saw Hwang Onasec play out a closely contested game against This Is Plough We Do It in a match that finished 2-1 to Hwang Onasec. An end-to-end battle was also played out between Hickorys Allstars and Big Stiff Chip Butty with the game ending 4-4. Finally, Talbot 6 overcame Let The Game McGinn with a 2-0 win. 

Division 3 saw Genoa Side storm the season going unbeaten throughout! After 13 victories on the bounce and continuing with a sensational 8-0 win over Still Trying FC. Gylfi Pleasures also achieved promotion with a victory in the final day of the season. Other games throughout the Division included a sensational matchup between Atheltico Dildao and Spignif Allstars which resulted in a 3-2 victory for Athletico Dildao. We Don't Give A Flying Duck also beat their opponents Gylfi As Charged 5-3.

In Division 4, Scran City clinched promotion alongside Reserve Squad V2 despite Scran City beating them on the final day. Paralympique Marseille also beat their opponents Peter Larsen Kaffe 3-1. 

As the final week of the season comes to a close, we congratulate the winners of each division. Celta Allstars clinched the Premier League title, Wheres Your Man FC emerged victorious in Division 1, Slumdog Mignolet reigned supreme in Division 2, Genoa Side claimed the crown in Division 3 and Scran City achieved promotion after an unbeaten season.

The Stourbridge Monday Football League showcased remarkable talent throughout the season, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next installment of thrilling matches.
