Play in the Stourbridge Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
As the first week of the Stourbridge Monday Football league wrapped up, the teams in all five divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and Division 4 - put on quite the show for football fans.
Unfortunately, we did have a couple of non-attendances on the night, these teams were not present for their game and we will be in contact with both of them this week in order to confirm their return for next Monday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
In the Premier League, Mals Tav Athletic set the tone of the season with a decisive 2 - 0 victory over Wheres Your Man FC, while Talbot 6 were outplayed by Unprotected Cesc in a 2 - 0 game.
Division 1 saw DY5 Bullets and Yatesys VI emerge as strong contenders with victories over VI Inches Combined and Fill Her Wycombe respectively. BBF United dominated Baz Ball FC with an impressive scoreline, while Kford Boys and Euro Anchor FC succumbed to a 1-1 draw.
The Division 2 games were a thrilling affair, with high-scoring matches throughout the evening. Athletic Dildao stood out with a strong win over Pique Blinders. Elsewhere there were wins for Hwang Bang, Big Stiff Chip Butty and Scran City respectively over Big Balls, Bayern Neverlosen and Bunting Mental.
In Division 3, fans were treated to a high-scoring match between Spignif Allstars and This Is Plough We Do It, with Spignif Allstars winning 5 - 2. Railway 6's and Past Our Prime drew 1-1 while both Unathletic Madrid and Has Bin Lions won respectively over Lads On Toure and Peter Larsen Kaffe.
In the lowest tier, Division 4, Rios Friday FC impressed the most with an emphatic 4-2 win over SPAFF It FC. Expected Toulouse FC drew with Twinkle Toes 2-2. While Bakers Barmy Army edged past Danny Gs Henchmen 1-0. Still Trying FC were also victorious beating Team Pending 2-1.
