Top draw performances from all teams.

The Stourbridge Monday League kicked off with exciting fixtures throughout the whole evening providing good entertainment for all those who attended. We did have two non-attendances as 'Lengman Ridahs' and 'Wall Heath FC' were both not present for there fixtures. As this is the two weeks in a row they have missed their fixtures both have now been removed from the league with immediate effect as per the terms and conditions that all Leisure Leagues have. Although this does open up a few spaces in the league it is important that all teams are present and committed each and every week, therefore this gives others the chance to take the spaces that have opened up and therefore avoids disappointments for teams on the night.

Premier Division-

The first game was a well-played game from ‘Inter Mi’Bathams’ who secured a 6-2 win against ‘Crep City FC’ which completes their return to form from their loss last week. Matt Preston also ran the show with an MVP performance. The second game on the Premier Division pitch came with a big surprise 2-1 win for ‘Big Stiff Idiots’ who beat unbeaten top of the league ‘Wolves Ay We’ to continue their title push and closing the gap on ‘Wolves Ay We’ at the top of the league, this means that Big Stiff Idiots’ are our team of the week for this performance and the game in question was also our Premier Division game of the night. The third game was also exciting but also convincingly won by ‘Chip Butty FC’ by winning 5-1 against ‘Dynamo Greyhound PFC’, allowing 'Chip Butty FC' to climb the table and allow them to keep up with the top two. The final game on the Premier league resulted in a 5-0 win for ‘Stella FC’ but was played in great spirits throughout.

Division One-

Division One began with an exciting game between ‘Brenton’ and ‘Redz On Stedz’ which resulted in a 5-3 win to ‘Redz On Stedz’ an end to end game which either team could’ve won. The second game was a big 7-1 win for first place ‘SH Dons’ over ‘Bridgnorth Town FC’ in which Harry Lewis had a stand out performance as the MVP. The third game was an impressive performance for ‘Gary Neville Is A Legend’ with a 5-1 win over ‘We Don’t Give A Flying Duck FC’ with an MVP performance from Matthew Welch. Then the final game of the night which was game of the evening resulted in 3-2 win for ‘BBF United’ over ‘West Midlands United FC’ in a game which again was a game that either team could’ve won, however it was 'BBF United' who were able to come away with the win and climb to within one point of the top two in the process. This game was also game of the evening in Division One due to the quality of play displayed.

Division Two-

A tight division is brewing in Division Two as the evening began with a 4-1 win for ‘Bayern Neverlosen’ over ‘Agent Pena’ denting they impressive run to challenge the top teams in the process. The second game of the evening resulted in a good victory for ‘Waggon Wanderers’ over second place ‘Cott Lane Colts’ with a great performance from Ethan Westwood again flipping the league on its head as new teams are now settling into this league nicely. The next game was an absolute thriller with ‘Oaks Ay We’ producing a top class 12-0 victory against ‘Expected Toulouse F.C’, with Kieran Marsden producing an amazing performance. The final game of the evening was a nail-biting 1-0 win for ‘Call the Cops FC’ against ‘This is Plough We Do It’ in a toughly contested match which the losers will be disappointed they didn’t get more from the game. The final game of the night was also our game of the night for Division Two due to the tight nature of the contest.

Division Three-

Division Three began with a 5-0 victory for ‘Umps XI’ as 'She Was Only XI' gave the required 7 days notice to cancel a fixture, pushing 'Umps XI' away from bottom of the league in the process. The second game was a tense top of the table contest between ‘Football Club FC’ and winners ‘Schoolboy Error’ where the final score was 2-1 and cemented 'Schoolboy Error's place at the top of the league. Due to the quality on display and how important it was for both teams this also meant that this game was Division Three game of the night. In the third game ‘Pique Blinders’ got a 5-0 victory which pushes them into second in the league and hoping for more of the same as the second half of the season begins. Finally in division 3 ‘Park Tavern FC’ gained a 4-2 victory over ‘Paris Ganja Man’ where they now sit comfortably midtable and looking to have a promotion push during the second half of the season.
