ONE TO GO IN THE FIRST EVER STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY LEAGUE!
A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Sunday League with all teams in attendance on the night.
Unfortunately we did have one disciplinary issue on the night as Cameron Pardoe of 'CG' was sent from the field of play for being abusive towards the referee, due to the severity of the abuse he has been fined £20 for his action on the night and been asked not to return to the league moving forward. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.
Game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between 'Dusty Yutes' and 'AFC Audnam'. Two teams that worked hard for the win but it was 'Dusty Yutes' who came away with the 2-1 in the end. With this win 'Dusty Yutes' have now won two in a row and can finish as high as 3rd next week if results go there way and with them facing one of there rivals for that place 'Sexy Football' it is a possibility before the seasons end. Well done to 'Kinver Massive' who were confirmed as Premier Division runners up for this season.
Two good games in Division One but it was the game between 'Magni Facio' and 'FCustom' who played the game of the night. 'Magni Facio may have joined the league one week late but are unbeaten since joining and ran out 5-1 winners in this one. They now have a face off against 'Pring Ding FC' in the final week to see who will be crowned Division One Winners.
For their performance above, team of the week for this week has to be the Division One league leaders 'Magni Facio'. Can they keep there undefeated run going and take the Division One title?
All teams must note that the centre is closed Sunday 30th May 2021 due to it being bank holiday weekend and will resume Sunday 6th June 2021, see you all then.
