STANDOUT PERFORMANCES IN TONIGHTS SUNDAY LEAGUE

Stourbridge Sunday league

The Stourbridge Sunday league returned this week with a full set of fixtures that were thoroughly enjoyed by all teams involved with some great games. The only team not present were 'Magni Facio' who gave the required 7 days notice to cancel their fixture.

Premier division-

The opening match on the Premier Division came between ‘Dusty Yutes’ and ‘Pring Ding FC’ where ‘Dusty Yutes’ got the result in a 3-1 victory with a great team effort with 2 goals coming from Alex Billingsey and a goal from Ben Sanogo to see off a strong ‘Pring Ding FC’. The second game on the Premier Division pitch was a strongly contested game between ‘I Like That’ and ‘Sexy Football’ with crucial goals from ‘Kian Lord’ and ‘Finlay Weaver’ for ‘I Like That’ to gain a creditable win over another strong side in the division. This is why this week’s team of the week goes to ‘I Like That’.

Division 1-

The first game in Division One resulted in a narrow win for ‘Big Butie Beaches’ over ‘AFC Audnam’ with the final score being 2-3 to the winners. With goals for ‘Bradley Charles’ ‘Ethan Williams’ and ‘Adam Bateman which secured the win. The night also included a convincing 5-0 win for ‘Moves Like Agger’ to cement there place at the top of Division One. The final game in Division One which was also the game of the night was a thrilling 5-5 draw between ‘Hoosier Daddy’s and ‘Pathetico Madrid’  which included a standout performance from Dan Smith who managed to bag himself 4 important goals.
