STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 23rd JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Fantastic games throughout in the Stourbridge Sunday League with all teams in attendance on the night as expected. 

Unfortunately we did have a disciplinary issue on the night. In the game between 'Waggon Wanderers' and 'I Like That', Jake Russell from 'Waggon Wanderers' was sent off for physical abuse to an opposition player. Because of the incident the player in question has been fined £20 and banned from the league due to the severity of the incident. It is important that all teams remain within the rules of the league and it is important to remember that any disciplinary issues will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.

In more positive news, game of this week goes to the game between 'Hoosier Daddys’ and ‘I Like That’. Both teams were end to end however 'Hoosier Daddys’ came out the eventual winners with 3 goals from Dan Smith with the final goal being the one to separate the teams. ‘I Like That’ could not do anymore to become victors over their opposition. However, it does show that the two teams will keep each other on their toes for the rest of the cup especially with just the one goal to separate the two 

Due to their performance 'Sexy Football' are our team of the week with their battling display which saw them let loose on ‘Dads United’ scoring lots of goals throughout the team. ‘Sexy Football’s’ dominating performance shows how they could be great contenders for the cup title with talent throughout their team and a crunch game coming up next week.
