All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

It was great to get the season off with a bang with all teams in attendance as expected.

It was brilliant to welcome 'Badway Madway' and 'Pudding Glutes' to the league and was great to see them both getting off to winning starts. We wish both teams all the best moving forward.

The new season kicked off with some excellent football being played. The game of the evening saw 'Sexy Football' beat 'Cartwrights U13's' in an exciting encounter between the two teams. Both teams played very well throughout and it was the two goalkeepers that were the standout performers in a close game. With how close this contest was it will be interesting to see who will come out on top when the two teams meet again later in the season.

The team of the week in the opener of the season is given to last season runners up 'Real Sosobad' as they start the season in style with a victory over last seasons champions 'I Like That'. Can the team go one better this season? Next up is 'Cartwright's U13's' so can they keep the good start going?
