STOURBRIDGE SUNDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 8TH OCTOBER 2023

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Fantastic games throughout in the final week of the Stourbridge Sunday League Cup as the teams battled it out to win their final games of the competition before the new league begins. 

The Sunday League Cup was a great competition and well done to all teams that took part in the competition which was played in great spirits however there could only be one winner. The final game came down to two teams in excellent form ‘William Flakespeare' and ‘LABEL FC' which went right down to the wire in a classic. The game eventually ended in a 2-1 victory for ‘LABEL FC’, therefore, congratulations to ‘I Like That’ in their deserved cup victory after a brilliant 4 victories out of 5 in the tournament. We would also like to congratulate ‘William Flakespeare' on their second-place finish and being extremely unfortunate not to get the overall victory, they unfortunately could not go all the way this time around. 

The remaining places finished as follows:

3rd Place: LABEL FC

4th Place: Lads on Toure

5th Place: Biffs Army

6th Place: Pique Blinders

All team captains please note the league will now have a month off before the new season gets underway commencing after a four week break on Sunday 12th November 2023. We look forward to welcoming all teams back for the new season to see if they can improve on their  previous campaign.
