Play in the Stourbridge Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
Last night marked the fourth week of the highly anticipated Stourbridge Sunday 6-a-side Football League. A thrilling evening of competitive football ensued with teams from the Premier League and Division 1 putting their best foot forward to come out triumphant.
Unfortunately, we did have a non-attendance on the night, Cordial FC were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for next Sunday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
We did also have two teams give their 7 days notice for this week. We look forward to welcoming Go On Ricky Lad and The Merry Men back on Sunday. If you do have any dates for holidays, please make sure you inform your area manager.
In more positive news, in the Premier League division, Murder On Zidanes Floor clashed with Blackheath Unathletic, ending in a 3-1 victory in favour of Blackheath Unathletic. Stourbridge Zebra and Withy Regens were also head-to-head, with the Zebras securing a 3-1 win. The last game for the evening saw a neck-and-neck battle between I Like That and Stourbridge Old Boys, with the former bagging a nail-biting 3-2 victory.
In Division 1, Therapists faced a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Class On Grass, while Kewford Old Eagles fell short against Pique Blinders, with the latter team edging out a thrilling 4-3 win. Habberley FC didn't disappoint their fans, with a clean 3-0 victory over Man Titty.
The Stourbridge Sunday League continues to offer a riveting display of talent and competitiveness week after week. As we head into the fifth week, fans eagerly await the unfolding of more football action.
