Dudley Monday 5 a side news 2024-04-15

Monday Night saw the Dudley 5 a side football league spring into full gear as we entered Week 6 of the season, with superb displays of agility, talent, and sportsmanship across two divisions: Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League Division, Pacesetters FC set the tone for the evening with a dominant display, defeating Brexit Bad Boys. Meanwhile, Blade Runner pulled no punches, beating a resolute Masterclass FC side, a victory that will certainly stand them in good stead in the upcoming weeks. The action continued as FC Springhill couldn't quite keep up the pace with Sewey FC, losing 2 - 6. The most stunning performance of the night was The Old Tigers, who roared through Donkey Pool FC with a convincing victory. 

The star player of the Premier League Division was Greg Wilkes of The Old Tigers, who found the back of the net five times, putting him at the top of the league's scoring chart.

The Division 1 matches were equally thrilling, as Barely Athletic FC impressed against BTEC Boys with a convincing victory. The nail-biter of the night, however, was the 6 - 6 draw between Peaky Sliders and Banterlona, where both teams displayed incredible grit and determination. 

Team of the week this week goes to Barely Athletic, who showed the attacking firepower they possess, we look forward to seeing how they fare in the weeks to come.

The top scorer was Buck from Banterlona, who managed to put away three goals in a match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
