In last night's thrilling matches in the Dudley Monday 5 a side Football League, we saw some intense competition in both the Premier League and Division 1. The league, now in its 7th week, continues to be a battleground for the competing teams.
In the Premier League, Brexit Bad Boys fell 1-2 to The Old Tigers in a game that kept spectators on their toes till the last whistle. Meanwhile, Blade Runner managed to secure a convincing victory against FC Springhill with a scoreline of 4-1.
However, the highlight of the evening was the high-scoring game between Masterclass FC and Pacesetters FC, which ended in a 7-5 victory for the Pacesetters. This goal fest goes down as game of the night as attack came out on top. Well played gents for contributing to a great game.
Meanwhile, Division 1 was no less competitive. BTEC Boys clashed with Peaky Sliders, resulting in a 7-5 victory for the Sliders. Moreover, Barely Athletic FC defeated Underdawgs FC with a dominant display.
In Division 1, the top scorer's accolade went to Dugan Porter of the BTEC Boys. Despite his team's loss, Porter managed to score thrice, highlighting his individual efforts in the match.
Team of the week this week goes to Peaky Sliders who overcame a competitive BTEC Boys side to score 7 goals and earn the points, well played lads.
As we progress into the season, the league heats up with each team battling for supremacy. The players, especially those like Jack Foley and Dugan Porter, continue to exhibit their skills and passion for the sport.
