In a thrilling second week of the Dudley Monday 5-a-side football league, the Premier League and Division 1 teams battled it out under the floodlights, with some remarkable performances lighting up the night.
In the Premier League, Goal Diggers emerged as a force to be reckoned with, trouncing Sewey FC with a decisive 6-2 victory. Leading the charge was Max Powell, who netted a stunning five goals, securing his position as the top scorer in the division. Powell's prowess in front of the goal was a sight to behold, and his performance will surely send ripples through the rest of the league.
Not to be outdone, AC Chapel A eased past Blade Runner, asserting their dominance on the pitch. Meanwhile, SH Dons also notched a commendable victory, putting four past Brexit Bad Boys, while conceding just once, in a 4-1 triumph.
This earns SH Dons the title of team of the week for this week, after a strong performance, well played lads.
In Division 1, AC Chapel B took the spotlight, outclassing Masterclass FC 7-3. Dan Baines led the scoring charge for AC Chapel B, netting two goals and cementing his position as the top scorer in the division.
Yungens secured a 5-0 win following an absence from Keep Going FC, well deserved points for them after an impressive start to the season.
As the dust settles on week 2, the teams are already setting their sights on next week’s games, preparing to deliver more excitement for the fans.
