Excitement filled the air as Week 8 of the Dudley Monday 5-a-side Football League took place last night, with a fierce face-off in both the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, Blade Runner secured a decisive victory against Sewey FC with an impressive score of 5-3. The intensity of the game was palpable throughout, with each team giving their best on the pitch. Both these sides are excellent with and without the ball, so Blade Runners will be buzzing to have won this one.
The Premier League's top scorer title was clinched by Kyle Frendo of Brexit Bad Boys, who scored an outstanding total of three goals. His exceptional performance both on and off the ball was a sight to behold, as he led his team with vigour and determination.
Meanwhile, Division 1 saw an electrifying match between Borussia Dormston and Barely Athletic FC. Borussia Dormston emerged victorious with an impressive scoreline. Their excellent teamwork and precision on the field were instrumental in securing their win. This result earns Borussia Dormston the title of team of the week, a well earned accolade for the new team as they begin to settle in the league, looking formidable in doing so.
Josh Chambers of Masterclass FC earned the title of top scorer in Division 1 after he racked up an impressive five goals. His exceptional ball skills and ability to outmanoeuvre the opposition were a major highlight of the game.
The most valued player of the week was Carson Baker from Yungens FC. Baker's remarkable performance on the pitch was noted for his tactical understanding, speed, and agility. His contribution to Yungens FC showcased his significant talent and cemented his position as the most valuable player.
