Play in the Brierley Hill Thursday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
Football fever was at its peak last night as Brierley Hill Thursday played out week 9 of the season in an electrifying 6-a-side football league. Teams from the Premier League and Division 1 demonstrated their footballing finesse in a series of closely contested matches.
Unfortunately, there were two incidents on the night that led to sending offs to players for Wallows Madrid and Past It. Both individuals in question have been fined and banned accordingly in regards to the league rules. Please ensure you behaviour with the upmost respect of the rules each and ever week in order to avoid any sanctions. Incidents like these will always be dealt with swiftly and accordingly each and every time they happen.
We did also have one non-attendance on the night, You Spin Me Joel Round were not present for their game and we will be in contact with them this week in order to confirm their return for the 7th. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
In more positive news, in the Premier League, Exeter Gently became two time champions as they ran out 4-3 winners against The Boys in Striped Wanyamas. The runners up spot is still up for grabs and goes down to the wire as Hakuna Juan Mata came out 4-1 winners against Murder on Zidanes Floor. In the other game Bellies Boys the Sequel were 3-0 winners over Wallows Madrid.
Division 1 matches were no less thrilling. Borussia Monchenglassback go into the final week of the season on maximum points and a Division One title confirmed after a 3-1 win over Blue Ballers. Past It and Kford & Co played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw.
The league is now OFF this week as this is the third of five weeks where the pitch is unavailable before February will return Thursday 7th November 2024. We wish all players, officials and there families a good week off and see you all when we return.
With only one week left in the current season, the competition is heating up. Players and teams are encouraged to secure their place for the next season and continue the spirited competition. The top performances this week were outstanding, and hence, the anticipation for the remaining matches and the forthcoming season is sky-high. The Brierley Hill Thursday has once again delivered a spectacular football festival, with the promise of more thrilling action to come.
