It was another good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled barring a handful of teams who were unable to attend but all return on Sunday 20th March.
In the Premier Division the Gledfellas express rolls on into a third successive win since the season began, they were 4-0 winners over Chivas Supplemento, thanks to braces from Imran Siwji and Joseph Bartlett! They are however trailed by Ball Shmoovement who are only behind on goal difference, as they also secured their third successive win by a 3-2 scoreline over Chiellini Con Carne in an entertaining affair. Sting Dem were comfortable 3-0 winners against Sporting Madrid, recovering from their opening day defeat with a second win on the bounce, whilst FKW FC also recovered from a 3-2 defeat last week to beat last weeks Runners-Up Dads Army by a 2-0 score line.
The Birmingham Tiki-Taka moved to the top of Division One this week as they got a 5-0 win this week. They are joined in the top two by Pique Blinders who leapfrogged this weeks opponents Only Matip In whom they beat by a narrow 2-1 score line. Gylfi Pleasures registered their first points of the campaign as they recorded a 1-0 win against Chivas Primera, whilst Crusaders Massive also did the same, winning 2-1 against Brunswick Bladez.
Dumbledore Pure Bludz got their third win on the spin in a disciplined performance, running out 2-0 winners over 34a1ner, who drop to third as Hungry Boys overtake them following a convincing 5-0 win over Hotel? Thiago. Come Digne With Me followed up last weeks draw with a 2-1 victory over Dolce and Lallana to move up to fourth place, whilst Tikka Taka and Hales Angels shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
In Division Three, Cesc Pistols perfect start to the season continued, they were made to work hard by The Tormenta who are pointless so far, 1-0 the final score as Tormenta look to get their season off and running after three narrow defeats. Cadrington FC dropped out of the top two after a 3-1 reverse against Bayer Neverlusen and Damo Carew registered their first points of the season in style, thrashing Bummie Boys by a 5-2 score line.
Alton Wanderers have had their shooting boots on in all three games scoring 15 in their opening games, they were convincing 6-1 winners over MPU this week who've had back to back defeats since their opening day win. Second placed Boshers FC shared the spoils with Chucho Motherfooters FC in a game that ended 1-1.
In Division 5 the game of the whole night was the goalfest between Ajax Army and Corner McGregor with Ajax running out 8-6 winners in a thrilling game. Fritzl Palace moved into second place with a 5-0 win over Charlottes Hand Me Downs, whilst Bluff Squad dropped to third with a 7-2 defeat against Madeleine Milan.
