It was another superb evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only disappointment being a very late cancellation from Old Timers in the Premier Division who have been confirmed to return for Sunday 24th February.
The pick of the action after the first round of fixtures was the 4-1 win for newly promoted Dad's Army who overcame Chivas Primera. Last season's champions Goosters defeated the other newly promoted team D&G, 3-1 the final score.
In Division One recently relegated SSS FC were 4-0 victors against Expected Toulouse, whilst both promoted teams from Division Two also won their opening games. Hungry Boys beat Bartley Reds South 3-0 and a Danny Taylor inspired Sporting Madrid were 2-0 winners over Haoddersfield Town.
League Hunters were biggest winners of the day in Division Two, they thrashed Stevie Wonders 6-0 and sit top of the table at present, closely followed by Benteke Fried Chicken who were 5-1 victors against newly promoted For The Fans FC.
Division Three was undoubtedly the closest of the night with the exception of Brian Munich who were 4-0 winners over Dead Ballers. Other results saw South Birmingham Storm edge past Spartatak by a single goal and Sportugal drew 1-1 with XBand 2k16 whilst UAE Town and Orange Tangerines cancelled each other out in a stalemate, which finished goalless.
Boom Boom Pau top Division Four as they were 6-1 winners over Che Bois who had a baptism of fire following their promotion. The other promoted team also suffered defeat, a 4-1 reverse at the hands of Whiligh FC. Hannover 69 also won their season opener by the same scoreline against Put It Up My Brum.
Tiv Boys settled into life in their student division very comfortably, they won 4-0 against Ayewblind. Meanwhile Rachel Riley overcame Obi 1 Kanobi 4-1 and Tekkers Slovakia beat Tinchy Sneijder 3-0. FC Third Bar and Pete's Ultimate Team completed the action with a 1-1 draw.
Best of luck to all teams as we approach the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier provider of 6 a side football.
