It was a fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled, the only two exceptions being new team Ittihad FC who cancelled on the day, and Goose FC from Division Three who failed to attend. We will be speaking with both to confirm their return on Sunday 25th November.
Goosters FC continued their impressive start to the season in the Premier Division after a hard fought 2-1 win over Podolskiing making it 2 wins from 2. Brunswick Bladez and Tilton Rifles also keep 100% records after winning 1-0 and 3-0 respectively.
In Division One Dad's Army were in impressive form in front of goal as they put 4 past Haoddersfield Town without reply. D&G United put in a professional performance against Allback Allstars, running out 2-0 winners, those two are the only teams in the division who's records are intact so far this season.
Performance of the week in Division Two undoubtedly belonged to Hungry Boys after they were in relentless form against Three Lions, running out 8-0 winners which has done their goal difference the world of good after they started with a defeat last week. League Hunters are top after a 5-0 default this week and Sporting Madrid second after they edged out Dead Ballers 2-1.
Division Three looks very close at this stage of the season with only Simply Kosher maintaining their 100% record. Wiganalose and Sportugal drew 1-1, Kroos Control edged out Spartatak 1-0 and UAE Town put in a disciplined performance as they ran out 2-0 winners against Brian Munich.
New team Whiligh FC are sending out shock waves in Division Four after they thrashed Registered Six Defenders 10-0, they look like the team to beat at this early stage. Boom Boom Pau are also looking like early contenders and certainly know where the net is, a 4-1 win over FC Third Bar their reward for an impressive performance.
Tinchy Sneijder were the form team of the week in Division Five as they picked up a 5-1 win over Ayewblindferfuchsake. The rest of the games were very close throughout the night in that league, Che Bois FC were 1-0 winners over Tekkers-Slovakia as For The Fans and Hannover 96 ground out a 0-0 draw. The final game of the night in that league saw Shovel FC edge out Stevie Wonders, the game finished 2-0 in a closely fought encounter.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier small sided football provider. We would also take this opportunity to remind the local teams that it is Aston Villa v Birmingham on Sunday 25th November. As a one off we are giving all teams until 5pm on Monday 19th November to cancel without charge, any teams who cancel later than that will be charged.
