It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw some entertaining matches played throughout the night and the return of the student teams who played grading fixtures. Division 5 will be kicking off officially on Sunday 19th January!
We were disappointed to see non-attendances from two new teams, FC 420 and Get Ya Rat Out FC were due to play their first matches. Both have now been removed from the league with immediate effect as neither bothered to make contact with us to inform us they were unable to play.
Pick of the action this week saw Dad's Army move level on points at the top of the Premier Division. This followed their 1-0 win over The Hungry Boys, coupled with Make a Change suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chivas Primera.
In Division One, the top two met and couldn't be separated as The SSS FC and Actuary Not That Bad shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, meaning SSS remain a point clear having conceded their first goal of the entire season after 7 games!
We wish all teams the best of luck as we head into the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier small sided football provider!
