It was another good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only disappointments being Sporting Madrid, Birmingham Tiki Taka and MPU, all of which have now been removed from the league with immediate effect.
There were big wins for the top three in the Premier Division as they continue to shoot out for the winners trophy, with Sting Dem hammering Ball Shmoovement by an 8-0 scoreline, whilst second placed Gledfellas do their best to keep the pressure on, they were 4-0 winners over Chiellini Con Carne in an impressive performance. FKW FC sit in third place and also have a chance of the title, they were 4-1 winners against Chivas Supplemento this week and will be looking to keep up the momentum as they still have to meet Sting Dem in the penultimate game of the season.
Division One leaders Pique Blinders keep their unbeaten campaign going, they were 2-0 victors over Gylfi Pleasures this week as they keep their single point lead over second placed Only Put Matip In going. Crusaders moved up to third place following their 4-2 win over Chivas Primera, although promotion looks highly unlikely this time around as they sit 6 points off second.
Division Two leaders Dumbledore Pure Bludz show no let up in their title charge, their 6-0 thrashing of Hotel? Thiago sees them remain three points clear of the nearest competition 34a1Ner who also won their game in comfortable fashion, by a 6-1 scoreline against Fritzl Palace, whilst the title looks unlikely they keep their promotion aspirations very much on target as they retain a three point lead over third placed The Hungry Boys, who themselves were 2-0 winners against Hales Angels. Tikka Taka picked up an important point against Come Digne With Me as they drew 1-1 to move level on points with sixth place.
Cesc Pistols take pole position in Division Three after this weeks action, as they came out on top of a seven goal thriller against former leaders Orange Tangerines by a 4-3 scoreline as they now drop to second. Third placed The Tormenta took advantage of this and were 3-1 winners over Cadrington FC to move within a point of second. Jose 6 sit in fourth place but did their promotion hopes no harm at all as they boosted their goal difference massively with a 13-1 mauling of Brummie Boys, whilst Damo Carew moved above Bayer Neverlusen in the table after hammering them 7-2.
Division Four leaders Alton Wanderers were held to a 0-0 draw against Boshers FC this week in what was the battle of the top two. This was the perfect result for The Cotters who moved into second spot with a hard fought 1-0 win over Mxrleys Angels.
In the two league games in Division Five we saw Madeleine Milan win a nine goal thriller over Corner McGregor by a 6-3 scoreline, whilst Robben Me Blind put in a disciplined performance to overcome Ajax Army 2-0.
