It was another excellent evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week overall. We were however disappointed to see three non-attendances. Chigwell Chihauas and Tampons Should be Free have confirmed their returns to action.
Bell Them Birds Back Lad have been removed from the league following their non-attendance, this follows a disciplinary issue last week where they had a player permanently banned so we have chosen to take them out of the league.
We welcome new team TMA to the league as a replacement for the above and wish these good luck going into their debut game on Sunday 29th October!
In the Premier League, Chiellini Con Carne edged out Metch FC in a closely fought 2-1 victory, while Damo Carew put on a strong performance against Washed Kings FC, clinching a 4-2 win. However, it was Dads Army who stole the show, securing a resounding 7-0 triumph against Chivas Primera. Harry Miles of Damo Carew dominated the scoresheet with an impressive three-goal haul, making him the top scorer of the week in the Premier League.
In Division 1, Robben Me Blind and Athletico Northfield ended in a 3-3 deadlock, while Gangsters Allardyce flexed their attacking prowess in a 5-1 demolition of FDL FC. The division's top scorer was Harry from Gangsters Allardyce who scored a remarkable five goals.
Division 2 saw Marx Brothers blanking AFC Domi Force 3-0 and SB Generals crushing Diamond Scrubs by a whopping 10-1 margin. Liam Smith of SB Generals was the highlight of the division, netting an outstanding seven goals.
Division 3 had a more evenly matched round of matches, with MXRLEYS ANGELS and Jonah Is Better Than Messi FC resulting in a 1-1 draw, and Le Sserafim FC bagging a 3-0 win over BigFatDave FC.
In Division 4, Sevilla Tism FC narrowly lost to Brummie Boys FC in a 4-3 thriller, and Paraletic Athletic stunned Tory Tower FC with a 6-0 victory. Finally, in Division 5, Scunners Utd pipped Balotelli Tubbies to a 1-0 win, while Real Pasante edged Schmeichel Jackson 2-1.
Good luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier providers of small sided football!
