It was a fantastic evening's football in the University of Birmingham 6 a side league on Sunday, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent matches played across all five divisions.
New team The Elgar Penthouse were the latest team to come into the league, they joined late last week but were ready for the challenge as they came into Division Four and beat Dead Ballers by a comfortable 4-0 scoreline.
In the Premier Division, Your Dad Sells Avon got their third win on the spin to remain on maximum points as they were 5-2 victors over Grafters, whilst Crusaders Massive remain a point off the pace as the second placed team were 3-2 winners over Dad's Army. Gledfellas followed up their two draws at the start of the season with a 7-0 thrashing of Chivas Primera as they moved into third place, whilst Pique Blinders edged past Chiellini Con Carne by a single goal to move into fourth place.
Division One is now led by The Tormenta, as they got their third win on the bounce as their 4-1 win over AFC Kings Heath putting them above Damo Carew on goals scored, themselves 2-0 winners against Dumbledore Pure Bludz. Gylfi Pleasures moved up to third place with a 3-2 victory over Cesc Pistols. The Hungry Boys and We've Got Diogo Jota shared the spoils in a game that ended 1 a piece, a first point for Hungry Boys which moved them off the foot of the table.
Tikka Taka lead the way in Division Two as their third win of the season came in the form of a comfortable 4-1 result against Orange Tangerines. Chivas Supplemento remain in second but fell a point off the leaders as they drew an entertaining game 3-3 against third placed Hales Angels. Robben Me Blind moved up a place to fourth with a narrow 1-0 victory against Athletico Northfield, whilst BigFatDave's first points of the campaign came this week as they were 2-1 victors against Mxrley's Angels.
Ajax Army's scintillating start to Division Three continues, their third win in a row a 3-0 victory over Naughty Pinky, they have now scored 17 goals in just three matches. Goals Aloud's 1-1 draw with Akhtars was enough to move them into second place as Invictus were beaten 3-0 against The Cotters. Ballers or Draws got their first win of the campaign and did so in style as they were 6-0 winners over The Score Is.
Division Four leaders Alton Wanderers were comfortable winners again this week as they notched a 3-0 win over The Pie Guys, whilst FC Bournabeu were 3-1 victors over Brummie Boys to move into second spot. Third placed Madeleine Milan won by the same scoreline against Boshers FC to complete the action.
