Sunday 27th August - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, we did have a few absentees owing to the Bank Holiday Weekend but look forward to seeing all teams back as normal on Sunday 3rd September as the summer holidays come to an end.

In the highly competitive Premier League division, fans were treated to two thrilling encounters. In a close encounter, Damo Carew faced off against Chiellini Con Carne. The match was a neck-and-neck affair, with Chiellini Con Carne emerging victorious with a narrow 3-2 win. However, the standout performer of the match was Connor from Washed Kings FC, who showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting an impressive three goals against Gledfellas, helping his team secure a well-deserved 4-2 victory.

Division 1 also witnessed some exciting action as METCH FC faced Chivas Primera. In a game that displayed tremendous teamwork and determination, METCH FC emerged triumphant with a 2-0 victory. Oscar of METCH FC proved to be the key player of the match, scoring a vital goal that contributed to his team's success.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Cadballerz dominated their match against Kroos Control, securing an impressive 5-0 victory. The team displayed exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the game.

Division 4 saw two exciting matches unfold. SB Generals delivered a dominant performance against Leavemyarcelona, emerging victorious with an emphatic 8-0 win. The Hungry Boys also showcased their hunger for victory, defeating Top Gs with a final score of 2-0.

In Division 5, The Cotters faced off against Broderick AFC in a closely contested match, with The Cotters emerging victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. Le Sserafim FC displayed their prowess on the field, securing a convincing 3-0 win against Tiger Force.

The Birmingham Sunday Football League continues to provide thrilling matches week after week. With teams showcasing their skills and determination, spectators can look forward to more exciting encounters in the coming weeks.
