It was a good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions as scheduled, the only exception unfortunately being Brummie Boys in Division Four who will be spoken to accordingly.
There is a new leader in the Premier Division as Chiellini Con Carne ended Dad's Army's unbeaten start as they were 2-0 winners, gaining their fourth win on the spin in the process. Neverloseagain move up to third place as they claimed a third win on the bounce, beating The Hungry Boys 4-0, whilst Gledfellas stay fourth but level with second after a 3-0 victory over strugglers The Tormenta. Last but by no means least was a 3-2 victory for Chivas Primera who overcame Damo Carew to register their first points of the campaign.
Chivas Supplemento lead the way in Division One, claiming their fourth win on the bounce as they beat AFC Kings Heath 3-2, whilst We've Got Diogo Jota move from fourth to second following a 5-3 victory against Hales Angels, leapfrogging third placed Athletico Northfield on goal difference despite their 2-1 victory over Goals Aloud. Robben Me Blind completed the division's action and got their first points of the campaign as they edged past Tikka Taka 2-1.
In Division Two, Alton Wanderers move level on points with the leaders after they claimed a 3-0 win over Big Fat Dave, whilst Elgar Penthouse had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Dumbledore Pure Bludz who themselves remain in the mix at the top. Invictus got back to winning ways this week and did so in style as they romped to a 7-1 victory against Mxrley's Angels to move into fourth place, whilst Metch FC ran out 3-2 winners over Bell Them Birds Back to continue their excellent start since joining.
NDicka In Dias made it four wins on the spin in Division Three, and a third clean sheet to boot as they cruised a 3-0 win against Naughty Pinky who drop to sixth. Hicks and Eeel keep their place in second and two points off the leaders after they were 3-1 victors against Dead Ballers, whilst 2 Legs 1 Rock claimed a 4-2 win against Boshers in an impressive performance. New boys Veggie United got off to a solid start this week as they shared a 3-3 draw against The Cotters.
Division Four is now led by Masterbaiters who move above Top G's in the league after cruising to a 4-0 win over their promotion rivals. The Pie Guys sit in third place after their third draw on the bounce, a goalless encounter against MSC FC continuing their solid start to the campaign. Gangsters Allardyce completed the action as they moved three points clear of Birmingham United who they beat 2-1.
