Sunday 29th October - Birmingham Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening of 6 a side football in Birmingham on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures barring Dead Ballers who had cancelled with 7 days notice, and FC Neutrals who had to cancel late on due to a shortage of players, we look forward to welcoming both back as normal on Sunday 4th November.

Make a Change United moved to the top of the Premier Division following their 4-0 win over Wighligh FC and Dad's Army's goalless draw with Tilton Rifles, which drops them to second place.

In Division One there appears to be no stopping Brunswick Bladez who made it 9 wins from 9 this week as their relentless form continued with a 2-0 victory over Charl Partridge FC, they are now 5 point clear of the nearest competition, The Hungry Boys who won 3-1 over The SSS FC.

As Chivas Primera edge closer to the Division Two title there is a three way tie for second place with Sportugal, Put It Up My Brum and Expected Toulouse who are all locked on 10 points as  they bid for promotion.

Lads on Toure stay top of Division Three despite suffering a 2-0 reverse against Tengermanbobbys, a result which sees them move to within 2 points of this weeks opponents in a tightly contested league which also saw Dolce and Lallana in third place, defeat second placed Tea and Busquets 1-0 to move level on points with their opponents.

The Trogs were the weeks big winners in Division Four as they smashed AFC Woodgate 15-1 to move into second spot, just one point off the summit.

The Student Divisions look very well matched in the main, as all three games in Division Five ended with 1-0 victorys, Obi 1 Kanobi, Selly Tokes and FC Third Bar all picking up 2 points this week.

In the second week of Division Six there are just two teams remaining on maximum points, Mandem 2 Slappy were 4-1 winners over Dartmouth FC and Fatty Trekkers 3-0 victors against Rachel Riley FC.

We said goodbye to one of our longest serving teams this week as Spartatak withdrew from Division 4, they played with us for more than 10 years and racked up well over 500 games during that time.  We thank them very much for their time playing with us and wish them all the best for the future.
