In the latest round of the Birmingham University Sunday 6 a side league, the teams put in some great performances and provided us with some entertaining moments.
In the Premier Division, Washed Kings FC sailed to a 4-1 victory over Neverloseagain FC, proving that sometimes the best way to win is to keep it clean. Chellini Con Carne and Gledfellas, on the other hand, were involved in a goalless draw, with neither team able to slice through the opposing defence. Chivas Supplemento and Damo Carew put on a thrilling match, but it was the latter who came out on top with a 4-2 victory, proving that they had the right supplement to their game.
Moving on to Division One, the game between Weve Got Diogo Jota and Up the Cru ended in a 1-1 draw. It was a game of two halves, with both teams fighting tooth and nail to secure the win, but ultimately, neither team could come out on top.
In Division Two, Robben Me Blind managed to blindside their opponents, Ndicka in Dias, with a 2-1 victory. Goals Aloud proved that they had a knack for scoring as they managed to hit the back of the net twice against Alton Wanderers FC, winning the game with a score of 2-1. Hicks and Eel showed that they were the team to beat, putting five past Bigfatdave FC and proving that they had some electric eel in their boots.
Over in Division Three, Top GS managed to come out on top with a narrow 1-0 victory over The Cotters, showing that they were the top dogs of the day. Dead Ballers FC tried to show their prowess, but they were edged out by Tealby United, who won the game with a 2-1 scoreline. Meanwhile, Cadballerz put on a dominant performance against Mxrleys Angels, winning the game with a whopping 6-1 scoreline.
In Division Four, Flacid Van Winkel showed that they were no pushovers, winning the game with a score of 4-1 against Sporting Lesbians. Brummie Boys FC managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory against LeaveMyBarcelona, but it was Gangsters Allardyce who stole the show, winning the game with a 6-1 scoreline over Masterbaiters.
Finally, in Division Five, AFC Domi Force proved that they had the force to be reckoned with, winning the game against Birmingham United with a score of 2-0. Weoley Warriors had a tough time as they went up against Football Not Soccer, conceding a staggering 18 goals without managing to score any themselves.
Overall, it was an exciting day of football, with some great performances and some humorous team names. The teams showed that they had the skills and the spirit to compete, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us next time!
