Sunday 30th July - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled across all six divisions!  We welcomed a new team to Division Five, Le Sserafim FC, who ran out impressive 4-1 winners over The Cotters on their league debut.

In the Premier League division, Gledfellas and Brummy Strollers played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw, showcasing their determination and skill. Meanwhile, Damo Carew were outclassed by a dominant performance from Washed Kings FC, who secured an impressive 10-2 victory. The match between DADS ARMY and Chiellini Con Carne was a closely contested affair with DADS ARMY emerging triumphant with a 3-2 scoreline.

The Premier League's top scorer for the week was Wade from Washed Kings FC, who demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess by netting an astounding seven goals.

In Division 1, Union WIP proved their mettle as they triumphed over METCH FC with a 2-1 win. Ls Up Fc showcased their attacking prowess, defeating Chivas Primera 3-1. Sam Guglielmino of Ls Up Fc emerged as the top scorer in Division 1, finding the back of the net twice.

In Division 2, Cadballerz asserted their dominance against Invictus FC, winning 4-1, while Chivas Supplemento secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Goals Aloud. Cauley Bissett of Cadballerz stood out as the division's top scorer, bagging two goals.

Division 3 witnessed some high-scoring encounters. AFC Domi Force showcased their attacking flair, overpowering Dead Ballers FC with a resounding 6-1 victory. Sportugal also flexed their muscles, beating BigFatDave FC 3-0. Bell Them Birds Back Lad were in fine form, sweeping aside Alton Wanderers FC with a 5-0 win. Lewis of Sportugal was the top scorer in Division 3, registering two goals.

Diamond Scrubs put on a dominant display in Division 4, defeating Leavemyarcelona 4-1 with ease. The Hungry Boys showcased their appetite for goals, securing a comfortable 4-1 victory over MXRLEYS ANGELS. Top Gs narrowly edged past SB Generals with a 1-0 win. The top scorer in Division 4 remains to be determined.

Finally, in Division 5, Broderick AFC emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over The Gerri Hat-Tricks. Weoley Warriors clinched a close 3-2 victory against Tiger Force, while Le Sserafim FC triumphed over The Cotters with a convincing 4-1 scoreline. The top scorer in Division 5 is yet to be determined.

As the Birmingham Sunday Football League progresses, the passion and competitive spirit of its participants continue to shine. Spectators eagerly anticipate the next round of matches as teams battle it out for glory.
