It was a fantastic evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some superb matches played across all five divisions which was pleasing to see!
Gledfellas got their second win on the bounce, the only team in the Premier Division to achieve this, as they were rampant 6-0 winners over Sporting Madrid. Ball Shmoovement remain unbeaten so far, following up last weeks draw with a hard fought 3-2 win over FKW FC in an entertaining encounter, whilst Chiellini Con Carne got their first points on the board in style as they romped to a 9-0 victory against Chivas Supplemento. Champions Sting Dem FC recovered from an opening day defeat as they were 5-2 winners over Dads Army.
Division One is split down the middle so far this campaign as four teams are on maximum points, and four on zero. Only Matip lead the cluster of teams with two wins, as they ran out 4-2 winners over Gylfi Pleasures. Birmingham Tiki-Taka Elite were comfortable 5-0 winners against Crusaders Massive, whilst Pique Blinders also got a convincing win against Brunswick Bladez whom they beat 3-0. Pain in Dias came out on top in a hard fought 2-1 win over Chivas Primera.
Division Two is led by Dumbledore Pure Bludz who are the only team in the division to have 2 wins in a row, they were 7-1 victors over Tikka Taka, whilst 34a1ner sit in second after they shared the spoils with Come Digne With Me in an entertaining 3-3 draw! Dolce and Lallana drop to third after suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of The Hungry Boys, whilst Hotel Thiago battled hard to draw 2-2 with Hales Angels FC in a well competed game!
Cesc Pistols look determined to get back to Division Two since their relegation, they got their second win in a row as they beat Damo Carew 3-1, whilst Cadrington FC were narrow 2-1 winners over Jose 6 to keep themselves on maximum points so far. Orange Tangerines complete the trio of teams to have won their first two games, they were 2-1 victors over The Tormenta. The final game of the night saw Bayer Neverlusen and Brummie Boys FC cancel each other out as their game ended goalless.
Alton Wanderers were 4-2 winners against The Cotters this week to move to the top of Division Three at this early stage, they are joined on four points by Boshers FC who were 2-0 victors against MPU. Chucho Motherfooters were 4-2 winners over DS Youth Academy to register their first points of the season, whilst Mxrleys Angels and UAE Town cancelled each other out in a game that ended 1 a piece.
In Division Five, leaders Wolves of Vita Street look in pretty mean form after the opening two games as they have scored 17 goals in two games, they were 6-0 winners over Ajax Trees this week, whilst Bluff Squad also picked up their second win on the bounce with a 4-2 victory over Masterbaiters to sit in second place. Charlotte's Hand Me Downs remain unbeaten after two games, they followed up last weeks draw with a 4-2 victory against Masterbaiters to sit in third place. Sainsburys'nt looked in fine fettle this week as they recovered from a 5-0 reverse last week to thrash Corner McGregor by 10 goals to 2.
