WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE BIRMINGHAM UNI LEAGUE 21ST AUGUST

Another good week in the Birmingham Sunday league held at the University despite The Cotters, Cadrington and Dumbledore failing to attend. We have spoken to their respective team managers and they have all confirmed that they will be back playing as they were only struggling for this week due to holidays. We also had a few cancellations for the same reasons and all of those teams that managed to let us know have also confirmed that they will be back as normal.

If you cannot attend a fixture, please ensure that you contact us at the head office on 0333 123 2340. This is really important so that we can arrange a match for your opponents, if possible, give 7 days notice, as that way you avoid being charged for the fixture missed! It would be a great idea to check with all players to make sure that you have a complete team for your fixtures. Please bare in mind that we do not ask teams to register players, so therefore you can have a different set of players representing your team each week. This way we can minimise team cancellations and make sure that everyone has competitive matches each week. 

We do have a few spaces in the league at the minute but the students are due to return over the coming weeks and with the new season starting on the 11th September, we fully expect the league to be full again.
