Welcome to the match round-up for the Dorchester Thursday 6 a side football league, held at the 1610 Sports Centre. In the second week of the new season, all 10 teams were in attendance, and we witnessed some thrilling encounters.
The first match of the day saw FSMFC edging past Big Knobs FC by a solitary goal to nil. It was a closely fought encounter, with both teams creating chances, but it was FSMFC who managed to find the back of the net to secure their first win of the season.
In the second game, Shane Long Island Iced Tea produced a dominant display to comfortably beat the Brexit Ballers 5-0. The Shane Long team looked in scintillating form, with some slick passing and clinical finishing on display.
Narn Munchers were another team who were in red-hot form, as they demolished Expected Toulouse 10-1 in a one-sided encounter. The Narn Munchers' attacking display was too much for their opponents to handle, and they ran riot to record a resounding victory.
Weybiza and Super Scrubs played out an exciting 1-1 draw in a closely contested encounter. Both teams showed some impressive attacking play, but it was their defensive resilience that ensured that the points were shared.
In the final game of the day, Madelline Milan secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Churchy's Gaffney. It was a tightly contested affair, with both teams battling hard for the win, but it was Madelline Milan who emerged victorious in the end.
We would like to thank all the teams for their commitment and reliability towards the league. If any team has any queries, they can call Adam at Head Office on 0333 123 2340 (Local Rate Number). We wish all the teams the best of luck for game week 3 with Dorchester's premier providers of small-sided football, Leisure Leagues.
