It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week as the league returned following last weeks cancellation due to snow. We were pleased to see all 20 teams in attendance for their matches and some superbly competed games played across both divisions.
In the Premier League, Snorting Wizbon demonstrated a superior performance with a 3-1 victory over 01543 FC, setting a high bar for the rest of the season. Team Maestro and PBDL FC locked horns in a thrilling 3-3 draw, leaving no clear victor on the night. AC McCann stunned their fellow league rivals by thrashing Paralympiacos with an impressive 6-0 victory, while Murder On Zidanes Floor in a closely-fought battle edged out BARELY ATHLETIC 2-1. FC G&T also triumphed 4-2 against Diadora FC, complicating the latter's situation in the league table.
Over in Division 1, Street FC established their dominance with a 4-1 victory over Adi Cannock, while Sky Blue Army narrowly won 2-1 against The Crow-Knees. Norfolk N Chance made their intentions clear with a 4-0 whitewash over Bar Snort FC. In a tightly contested match, Kane Cobras FC and Expected Toulouse settled for a 2-2 draw. Hednesford U5s had a rough evening, losing 1-6 to FUB FC.
We wish all teams good luck going into game week 3 of the season with Cannock and Hednesford's premier providers of small sided football!
