It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled.
In the Premier League, Barely Athletic fell short with a 2-3 loss against 01543 FC, while Diadora FC suffered a similar fate against AC McCann, losing 2-3. FC G&T and Norfolk N Chance played to a 1-1 draw, providing an intense battle throughout. Real Miners F.C. showcased an outstanding performance, dismantling Street FC 7-2. The night ended with a nail-biting match between Murder On Zidanes Floor and WeKanteWin, which saw WeKanteWin edge out a victory with a 2-1 win.
After a season of fierce competition, it was FC G&T who emerged victorious in the Premier League, racking up an impressive 31 points with 14 wins.
The Division 1 matches were equally thrilling. Jobbas Warriors managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Sky Blue Army, while Hednesford U5s were defeated 0-3 by What Divock. Glass On Grass and FUB FC tasted defeat at the hands of Burntwood Dragons and Bar Snort FC respectively. However, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly Bradbury Park Rangers’ decimation of DaBoyz with an impressive 10-3 victory.
Despite stiff competition, the Burntwood Dragons emerged as Division 1 champions, ending the season with an impressive 28 points and 13 wins.
