Overall it was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being Jobbas Warriors who return to action on Sunday 25th August.
In the Premier League Division, FC G&T claimed an impressive 2-0 victory over 01543 FC, while Diadora FC narrowly edged past Murder On Zidanes Floor with a 3-2 win. Real Miners F.C. also seized the day with a 2-0 triumph against AC McCann. The highlight of the night was the high-scoring showdown between Street FC and BARELY ATHLETIC, where Street FC emerged victorious, winning 4-2. These results see FC G&T and Diadora FC leading the charge in the Premier League division.
Turning our attention to Division 1, FUB FC secured a solid 3-1 win against Kane Cobras Fc. The clash between Bar Snort FC and Sky Blue Army ended in a 2-2 draw, while What Divock and Burntwood Dragons engaged in a goal-less stalemate. The match of the night, however, was undoubtedly the thrilling face-off between Adi Cannock and Hednesford U5s, with Adi Cannock narrowly prevailing with a 5-4 victory. As it stands, FUB FC and Adi Cannock have emerged as the top contenders for the Division 1 title.
We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Cannock's premier providers of small sided football!
