Sunday 19th January - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week as the new season got off to a fine start, with all teams in attendance except one, Exeter Gently, who've now been removed from the league with immediate effect.

In the Premier League, we witnessed a keenly contested match between What Divock and 01543 FC, with What Divock ultimately edging out a 2-1 victory. Bar Snort FC, however, demonstrated an astonishing display of dominance, scoring a whopping five goals against their opponents Still Haven't Got One Yet, who, unfortunately, couldn't manage to find the back of the net.

Norfolk N Chance and Burntwood FC battled it out in a fevered 3-3 draw, while Murder On Zidanes Floor suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Diadora FC in a 3-2 finish.

Over in Division 1, the match between WeKanteWin and Barely Athletic ended with both teams sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Two Girls One Schlupp and Colonel Getafe also couldn't outdo each other, with their match ending in a 2-2 draw. The Glass on Grass team celebrated a hard-fought 1-0 win over FUB FC, marking a positive start to their season.
