It was a good end to the season overall in the Cannock and Hednesford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring a cancellation from Stroke Titty, who have now been removed for the new season.
In the Premier League, FC G&T emerged victorious, capping off an outstanding season with 19 points and 9 wins. They finished the season in style, grabbing a 1-0 victory against Team Maestro. Meanwhile, the 01543 FC brushed past Norfolk N Chance with a comfortable 3-0 win, showing their prowess and commitment on the field. However, it was Diadora FC's close-fought 1-0 win over PBDL FC that was the talking point of the day, proving that every point counts in this fiercely competitive league.
Division 1 was no less exciting, with Murder On Zidanes Floor claiming the title with an impressive 22 points and 11 wins. They suffered a minor setback, losing 6-1 to Snorting Wizbon, but their earlier successes ensured their top spot. Ayden FC proved their mettle by thrashing The Crow-Knees 7-2 in a high-scoring encounter, while AC McCann also put on a scoring spectacle with a 9-5 win over Inter Yermam.
The highlight of Division 2 was undoubtedly the performance by Paralympiacos. They ended the season with a massive 26 points from 13 victories, outclassing their opponents by a considerable margin. Their final match saw them triumph over Kane Cobras FC with a commanding 11-1 victory. Expected Toulouse wrapped up their season with a clean sheet, defeating Hednesford U5s 3-0.
This season saw an amazing showcase of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to FC G&T, Murder On Zidanes Floor, and Paralympiacos for their well-deserved victories! We look forward to another thrilling season of football next season.
