It was an excellent return to action following the one week break for the England Euro 2020 game as the Cannock Sunday league came back this week, with all teams in attendance for their scheduled games and some excellent football on display across both divisions once again, the only exception to this being a late cancellation from Fatletico Madrid who return to action on Sunday 27th June.
Everything is pretty much wrapped up in the Premier Division as FMFB sealed the title this week following their 6-1 victory over FUB FC, a result which drops the latter into the relegation zone as Team Maestro secured a vital 2-1 win over It Just Got Messi. The final relegation place is still to be decided this weekend.
Nutmeg City 2 had already sealed promotion from Division One going into this game but dropped points for only the second time this campaign, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by 01543 FC. The second promotion place is still up for grabs as just a point separates second placed Messi Busquets and third placed Pique Blinders going into the final week of the campaign, which promises to see some excitement.
We wish all teams good luck heading into the games on Sunday 27th June with Canock's premier provider of small sided football!
