It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all 16 teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, including new team PG who joined the league and played their first fixture, narrowly losing out 2-1 against We Kante Win.
Premier Division leaders Firing Squad are certainly firing on all cylinders so far this season, a 9-0 win over Hednesford U9's their latest rout, as they sit pretty on four wins in a row. Stroke Titty moved up to second place following an 8-3 rout of Snorting Wizbon, going above Fub FC who were beaten 2-0 by Diadora FC in a well drilled performance.
Division One leaders 01543 FC are looking to bounce back to the top division at the first time of asking, and are doing a good job of it so far as they were 4-2 victors over Ayden FC to get their fourth win on the spin, whilst now second placed Team Maestro moved above Master Haters in the table as they won by the same scoreline. There were first wins for two teams this week, as Passion Wagons raced to an 8-1 win against Puyol Pants Down CF, and Balotellitubbies claimed a hard fought 2 points as they edged past ACFC by 2 goals to 1.
We are delighted to see the league full once again and thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability. We wish all teams good luck going into game week 5 with Cannock's premier providers of small sided football!
