Sunday 26th May - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions and some well competed matches played.

We are pleased to welcome new team Chadsmoor Wanderers to the league this week, and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 2nd June.

In the Premier League, FC G&T emerged victorious over Real Miners F.C. with a convincing 2-0 win, securing their spots at the top of the leaderboard. On the other hand, the clash between Snorting Wizbon and Diadora FC ended in a 2-2 deadlock, with both teams demonstrating tremendous tenacity and skill.

The biggest upset of the night undoubtedly came from the Norfolk N Chance vs. BARELY ATHLETIC match, where Norfolk N Chance dominated the game and trounced their opponents with a 4-0 landslide victory. Meanwhile, the matches between 01543 FC and AC McCann, as well as Street FC and Murder On Zidanes Floor, ended with a narrow margin of 1-1 and 2-1 respectively.

In Division 1, Sky Blue Army narrowly defeated Hednesford U5s 2-1 in a thrilling clash. Jobbas Warriors outmatched and outscored Kane Cobras Fc with an outstanding 7-1 victory, with their star player netting four goals alone. Adi Cannock faced a tough defeat against Bar Snort FC, falling 4-1. Burntwood Dragons also showcased their prowess as they clinched a solid 4-0 win against FUB FC.
